Search: Opioid settlement payments in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania counties and other local governments received more than $86 million in opioid settlement payments for 2022 and are scheduled to receive $56 million more in the next round of payments.

Each county received payments based on a formula that factored in the harm that occurred in their area. Some counties received additional money based on their role in opioid litigation.

Payment 1 and Payment 2 refer to what was allocated for the public agencies for 2022 payments. A few municipalities had yet to receive them as of September 2023. Payment 3 refers to estimates for payments that are scheduled for December 2023. District attorney offices, municipalities, and SEPTA received payments solely based on their role in opioid litigation.
