Renting a would-be Bitwise space

The city of Fresno is entering a seven-year lease for the second floor of the former State Center Warehouse building on R Street to house the new Capital Projects Department. The lease covers about 37,000 square feet of furnished office space for 140 employees.

The space taken over by the city at 747 R St. was originally to have been a new corporate headquarters for Fresno-based Bitwise Industries before that company imploded in May 2023. It is owned by a company based in Houston, Texas..
