In only a few areas of the country are the wealthiest 10% of households less than 4 times as wealthy as the median income of their neighbors. In a few areas of the nation, the wealthiest households are 6 or more times as wealthy as the median household in their community. And in some, like small areas of Manhattan in New York City, the wealthiest 10% of households are nearly 120 times as wealthy as their area's median.
