Manufacturing Sector: Labor Productivity (Output per Hour)

For decades, those pushing uptake of advances in robotics and automation have promised revolutionary gains in manufacturing productivity. Robots now perform tasks faster, with greater precision, and for longer hours than their human counterparts. Yet, despite the widespread adoption of these technologies, labor productivity in manufacturing has shown signs of stagnation in recent years.

The measure for productivity is a figure indexed to 2017 as 100.
