Soccer-specific venue openings

Since 1999, when the new soccer-specific stadiums opened for the Columbus Crew and USL Championship Charleston Battery, more than $6.4 billion has been committed in the U.S. and Canada to building stadiums where a professional soccer team was the anchor tenant, according to Sports Business Journal research.

Note: Excludes stadiums that are shared with an NFL team.
