STATE NOTE. Results reflect the Florida Standards Assessments (2015-2022) and the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (2023-2026), administered to grades 3-8; data accessed 6/26/26. Florida first administered the FAST assessment in Spring 2023 (noted in figure), aligned to the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards. FAST results are not directly comparable to prior years; trends are included here for reference only. "Proficiency" here includes students performing on or above grade level on the FAST (levels 3-5).
2020 NOTE. State Education Agencies (SEAs) did not administer assessments in Spring 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic (noted in figure).
