Coronavirus Patients with Underlying Medical Conditions at Greater Risk
A newly released CDC study of 7,162 infected patients with a documented medical history found patients with one or more preexisting health problems were far more likely to be hospitalized* and admitted to ICU.
*Due to limited testing in many parts of the country, patients with severe symptoms were more likely to get tested, likely inflating the hospitalization rate for each illness.
