COVID-19 boosters and third doses by age group

Everyone 16 years of age or older is now eligible for a booster shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the CDC. Here are the current numbers of boosters and third doses administered by age group. See footnotes for clarification.

Third doses are an extra Pfizer or Moderna vaccine given to immunocompromised people to be considered fully vaccinated. Only the fully vaccinated can receive a booster.
