The question read: "If there was an election for the president of Europe and the only two candidates were Emmanuel Macron or Angela Merkel, who would you vote for?". For the segmentation: respondents who feel European are those who 'strongly agree' or 'agree' with the following statement: "Being European is at least as important to me as being my nationality". Being hesitant refers to those who 'neither agree nor disagree' with this statement. Respondents who do not feel European are those who either 'strongly disagree' or 'disagree'.
