Remittances to Pakistan since 2020

The remittances by overseas Pakistanis have shown a gradual increase since last year, following the government's crackdown on illegal money transfer channels. The surge in remittances came despite pleas by jailed ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, who urged his supporters abroad to stop sending money home.
