The question read: "To what extent do you think it is good or bad for Europe that the president of the European Commission is German?" Respondents who 'feel European' refers to those who 'strongly agree' or 'agree' with the following statement: "Being European is at least as important to me as being my nationality". Being 'hesitant' refers to those who 'neither agree nor disagree' with this statement. 'Do not feel European' refers to those who either 'strongly disagree' or 'disagree'.
