States with PFAS regulations

Ten states have enforceable contamination limits and action plans for PFAS in drinking water.

Notes: PFOA and PFOS are types of PFAS chemicals. Some states regulate PFAS in total, while others set amounts for each compound separately.

Initial testing is complete in all states except for Rhode Island, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
