Almost half of home purchases in Hawaii are to members of an AAPI community. But who they are, and why they buy homes, varies greatly. 

Note: Data represents 73,706 total home purchase loans from 2018-2024. Other Asian includes Asian (Not Specified), Asian Indian, Vietnamese, and Other Asian. Other HoPI includes HoPI (Not Specified), Guamanian or Chamorro, Other Pacific Islander, and Samoan. Percentages represent share of all home purchases in Hawaii across the seven-year period.
