Measure 9.2.1

Counting: proportion of Victorian population (place of usual residence) aged 15–64 (a) Employed includes respondents who worked full-time, worked part-time or were employed but 'away from work' in the week prior to the census or who did not state the number of hours worked. (b) Unemployed includes respondents who were unemployed and seeking full-time or part-time employment (c) Not in the labour force (that is, not currently economically active) comprises all persons not currently employed or unemployed, irrespective of age. (d) Workforce participation is the proportion of the working-age population (aged 15–64) who reported being employed or unemployed jobseekers in the ABS census. Denominator includes all Census respondents (including Labour force status of 'not stated') by Indigenous status.
