Frequent flyer miles tend to fall in value the closer you get to your travel dates for the Thanksgiving holiday. They’re highest about eight weeks out, but it depends on which dates you want to travel on. Travel on Thanksgiving Day itself, pretty much no matter when you book the flights, gives the best bang for your mile buck.
