New HIV Diagnoses

The majority of persons (75%) diagnosed with an HIV infection in Ohio in 2022 were initially diagnosed with HIV (not AIDS).

A decrease in new reported diagnoses of HIV in 2020 may not represent a true decline, and may be due to effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
