The 60-40 Portfolio Had a Historically Good Decade Recently

Nominal returns of the 60-40 portfolio rebalanced monthly. Large cap stock and intermediate term bond Ibbotson data is used from 1926 through 2016. The S&P 500 ETF SPY and the iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF AGG is used from 2017 through 2022. Returns are hypothetical and performance is annualized.
