Too many raw materials in the bin

Recycled materials accounted for 11.8 percent of materials used in the EU's economy in 2023, with an increase of merely 1.1 percentage points from 2010.
The European Environment Agency found that the EU would need to progress twice as fast to achieve its 2030 target — a very unlikely feat.
