This graph illustrates the percentage of the two major K-5 English learner student subgroups — Latino and Asian — at San Francisco Unified School District who met or exceeded the English Language Arts and math standards on the state's standardized test, known as the Smarter Balanced, in 2018.
"The data on our Spanish speakers in our dual immersion and biliteracy programs indicate that English learners lag behind their Cantonese counterparts," said Jennifer Steiner, director of the SFUSD’s Office of Professional Growth and Development.
