Sick benefit entitlement up by 23% since Covid

The number of people claiming personal independence payments (PIP) or its predecessor, disability living allowances (DLA) has increased by 1.1 million since pre-Covid levels; with close to 5 million people now entitled to sick benefits in the UK.
