NFHS-5 Shows Lower Death Registration Level, Thereby Higher Death Estimates for 2020

According to NFHS 5 (2019-21), an average of only 70.8% deaths were registered in preceding 3 years. At this level of registration, 11.4 million people died in 2020, far higher than govt's claim of 8.12 million deaths based on official death rate.
