Average House Rental Size & Access to Amenities in the 100 Largest Metros

Build-to-rent communities with 50+ single-family rental units

This analysis was performed by Point2 Homes using data provided by our sister company, Yardi Matrix. The data includes only properties defined as single-family homes for rent that are located in build-to-rent communities containing at least 50 single-family rental units.

We looked at the 100 largest metros, but six metros were excluded due to insufficient data on unit square footage: Louisville/Jefferson County, KY-IN; Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA-NJ; Worcester, MA-CT; Greensboro-High Point, NC; Kiryas Joel-Poughkeepsie-Newburgh, NY; and Winston-Salem, NC. A total of 94 cities remained in the final ranking.

The share of renters with access to a community amenity represents the percentage of renters living in build-to-rent communities in that metro who have access to that specific amenity within that community. N/A means that data on those community amenities was not available.
