A 45-Year High in Jobs in Philadelphia

Philadelphia currently supports more jobs than at any point in the last 45 years, with citywide employment at the end of 2024 higher than the total from 1980. The city has also added more than 118,000 jobs since the pandemic-induced sharp decline in employment in 2020.
