For a fourth year in a row, fewer salmon return home to the Sacramento River than previously projected

The estimated number of salmon returning to the Sacramento River to spawn has been substantially lower than pre-season forecasts in all but one of the last eleven years, meaning fewer salmon return than expected. That includes last year, even though all salmon fishing in California was cancelled.
