The 2018-19 winter season on I-70, through April 17, was on track for second-highest eastbound and westbound traffic counts at the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel, ranking behind only the 2017-18 season. The heaviest single day ever was Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, when 54,720 vehicles passed through.
