A look at poverty level throughout Virginia

Data show percent of households at or below poverty level, number of single mothers receiving food stamps, and food stamps distribution in districts throughout Virginia. The poverty level is an annual income of $14,580 or less for a household of one person.

The poverty level increases by $5,140 for each additional person in a household of eight. Data are from 2021 five-year American Community Survey, and are considered estimates.
