Data center proposals in Montana

Over the last year, data center companies from around the country have staked out Montana with a bullseye as the place to build giant new facilities. NorthWestern Energy, has signed Letters of Intent with several data center companies to supply power. The monopoly utility has publicly mentioned at least 11 more data center companies are eyeing Montana, though little details have been provided.
