In 2020-2021 more than one-third of Brazilian gold exports to Switzerland came from the Amazon region

*Based on the definition of the Legal Amazon, which includes the states of Acre, Pará, Amazonas, Amapá, Roraima, Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Tocantins and Maranhão. In 2020 and 2021, only 4 of those 9 states (Mato Grosso, Amapá, Pará and Maranhão) exported gold to Switzerland.
