US states and territories with enacted legislation for year-round daylight saving or standard time
This chart shows how 19 states have passed laws for permanent daylight saving, while two states and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have laws observing permanent standard time. Current US federal law doesn't allow for year-round daylight saving time, so states that have passed laws have to wait for a change from Congress before they can adopt it. States and territories with year-round standard time already observe it.
