Americans are more open to betting on sports than political events

The POLITICO Poll was conducted by Public First from May 17 to 19, surveying 2,035 U.S. adults online. Results were weighted by age, race, gender, geography and educational attainment. Results for this story are taken from a subsample of 1,667 adults who showed some understanding of the industry, by avoiding a trap question. The overall margin of sampling error is ±2.4 percentage points. Smaller subgroups have higher margins of error. Numbers may not add up to 100 percent due to rounding.
