Zones are defined by the share of land area under watch, warning or alert: drought core 75 percent and above, transition zone 25 to 75 percent, recovery zone below 25 percent. Countries in grey lie outside the MrEast.eu coverage area. Kosovo is not contained in the boundary data used for the calculation and is classified using the separate Copernicus reading of more than 98 percent of its territory under soil drought in June 2026. All country figures reflect the situation on the afternoon of July 29, 2026.
