Collin County March 2026 Types of Primary Victories

During voting, citizens across Collin County had the chance to participate in up to 57 candidate elections, excluding precinct chair races. Each race was categorized into one of five exclusive outcomes:

In races where an incumbent ran, they either won "unopposed" or "defended" from a challenger. If they lost, it was recorded as an "incumbent defeated."

"Open" seats had no party incumbant running in this election. "Empty" seats are races in which a party offered no candidate.
