Return to Downtown by Sector

All major downtown areas except for Phoenix had more residents in the second quarter of 2023 compared with the same quarter in 2019, with Center City Philadelphia's resident population growing by 12%. Visitor volume, however, was lower in every downtown except for Nashville, and the median downtown recovery rate for nonresident workers was only 65%.
