NOTES: Based on March total nonfarm employment. Data not seasonally adjusted. Only the largest metro areas in each region are included due to incomplete industry employment data for the smaller metros. The San Joaquin Valley region includes: Bakersfield, Fresno, and Stockton-Lodi. The Bay Area includes data for: Oakland-Hayward-Berkeley, San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, San Francisco-Redwood City-South San Francisco, and Santa Rosa. Greater Sacramento includes data for Sacramento-Roseville-Arden-Arcade metro. The other regions are single-metro area regions.
