Public and Private School Measles Vaccination Rates in the Greater Chicago Area for the 2024-2025 School Year

NBC5 Responds has created this searchable table to check a school's vaccination rate (for measles only) for the 2024-2025 school year. This table includes data reported by public and private schools in twelve Chicago-area counties. School vaccination data for a variety of diseases is collected annually by the Illinois State Board of Education. You can see full sets of annual immunization data, for all schools in Illinois, by copying and pasting this link into your browser: https://www.isbe.net/Pages/Health-Requirements-Student-Health-Data.aspx                  PLEASE NOTE that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control says a school should have a measles immunization rate of 95% or higher to achieve "herd immunity," in which enough students are vaccinated to protect the entire population of students. A rate of 92% to 94.9% is less than ideal, but may still provide some herd immunity. A vaccination rate lower than 92% means that students may be at risk of contracting measles, because not enough of the population has been vaccinated.
