Small and medium-sized towns

The proportions of affordable housing in the rental supply are determined using natural rent thresholds, which are based on the current average half-time wage and typical household size:
- Small apartments (for single-person households) with 2.5 rooms or less: net rent per month up to CHF 1,000.-
- Medium-sized apartments (for two-person households with 3 to 3.5 rooms): net rent per month up to CHF 1,500.-
- Larger apartments (for multi-person households) with 4 rooms or more: net rent per month up to CHF 2,000.-
