Mississippi Medicaid unwinding

Almost 100,000 Mississippians have been kicked from Medicaid during unwinding. While most renewals are happening through beneficiaries completing and returning a partially-completed form, the state's ex-parte renewal rate remains relatively low. Many of the people being dropped are losing coverage because of paperwork issues, not because they have been found to be ineligible. Additionally, the agency's number of uncompleted reviews keeps growing.
