Days Nebraska can run only on cash reserve funds

At the end of fiscal year 2025-26, Nebraska had an ending balance of $877 million in its cash reserve, or rainy day fund, an equivalent of 58.5 days’ worth of general fund operational costs — more than the 50-state median.
