Data displayed is based on the average number of pedestrian traffic fatalities per state for the given time periods. Per capita data is based upon 5-year estimates from the America Community Survey for the last year of each 5-year period using the B01003 table's total population estimate. Pedestrian fatalities per capita represent pedestrian killed per million people.
