Forgone Income Tax from Credit Card and Cash Receipt Deductions, 2005–2014

Forgone personal income tax peaked at USD 1.58 billion in 2009 before moderating after deduction ceilings were adjusted in 2011. On average more than USD 1 billion income tax review is forgone every year.
