Most often, the anti-corruption campaign targets “bribe-takers”

Share of defendants in criminal cases in  2018-2022  and  after 2023  charged under specific provisions of the Criminal Code
 

Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation—a bribe exceeding one million rubles;
Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation—exceeding one’s official authority resulting in serious consequences, or committed in complicity or for personal gain;
Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation—fraud committed in complicity or involving an amount exceeding one million rubles;
Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation—bribery committed in complicity, with extortion, or in an amount ranging from 150,000 to one million rubles;
Part 3 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation—abuse of official authority resulting in serious consequences, such as significant material damage.

The number of defendants in 2018-2022 = 152; after 2023 = 264.
Persons involved are included who have a known date of arrest or arraignment; if several cases have been initiated against an official, the date of the first arrest or arraignment is taken into account.
