Swiss population growth is essentially due to immigration
Net immigration, natural growth and total variation of population (thousands of people) in Switzerland every year since 1950. The population has grown from 4.7 million in 1950 to over 9 million today.
Definitions: net immigration is the difference between immigration and emigration; the remainder of the variation in the population results from natural increase, i.e. the difference between the number of births and the number of deaths.
