Access to abortion in the U.S. depends on where you live. Increasingly, much of the South has become a legal-abortion desert.

Our gestation-based bans track the time in pregnancy when states ban abortion, not the weeks since someone’s last menstrual period. For example, under current Wisconsin law abortions are allowed through 20 weeks of gestation, or about 22 weeks since last period.
In some states, abortion access on the ground may look different than current law, such as North Dakota where a judge recently reversed the state's full ban but no clinic currently operates there.
Some states do not explicitly ban telemedicine abortion, but require ultrasounds (Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Utah).
