Support for Cooperation Is Higher When Framed Around Proven Results

Percent globally who support international cooperation: overall, and under different framings of expected outcomes

Support is the combined percentage of those who strongly or somewhat agree. “Overall” reflects a direct question on whether one’s own country should cooperate with others to solve global challenges, even if it means compromising on some national interests; “Cost” and “Efficacy” reflect hypothetical framings (“I’d support international cooperation if...”).
