Annual COVID Deaths at Various Vaccination Rates

Widespread annual vaccination against COVID-19 is needed to keep deaths and hospitalizations below what is typically seen from the flu, a new Penn State study found. If fewer than half of people in the United States get a COVID vaccine every year, 89,000 to 120,000 people will die per year over the next decade, the authors projected.
