A table shows Syria's estimated cement consumption in tons from 2010 to 2026, broken down into Al-Badia Cement sales, finished cement imports, and production by the state-owned cement company, Omran.
Consumption peaked at about 9 million tons in 2010, when state production supplied two-thirds of the market. It fell to about 3.5 million tons by 2013 and stayed between roughly 3.5 and 5.3 million tons through 2022, with Omran production falling below 2 million tons and imports and Al-Badia sales each around 1 to 1.5 million tons. Omran figures are unavailable for 2023 to 2025. On adjusted figures, consumption rose to about 7.3 million tons in 2025, with imports making up around 4.3 million tons. The author estimates 2026 consumption at about 9.5 million tons, slightly above the pre-war peak, with imports accounting for about 6.1 million tons.
