Local NWS offices no longer cover 11 Nebraska counties 24/7

National Weather Service offices in Wyoming and Kansas that cover parts of western and southwestern Nebraska are reducing their hours from around the clock due to staffing shortages. Local rural weather experts say it threatens public safety.
