Natural Population Change in Tennessee, 2020 to 2025

Of the core counties anchoring Tennessee’s four largest metro areas, Knox County is the only one experiencing natural population loss.

Natural population change reflects the difference between births and deaths within a population over a given period and excludes migration. A positive value indicates more births than deaths, while a negative value indicates more deaths than births.
