State College Grocery Store Prices, by Item (2025)

Where can you find the cheapest grocery items in State College? Who's got the best deals on produce and Oreo cookies? We shopped each major grocery store in the area to answer these questions and more as prices fluctuate across the country. Use our guide to select a produce and see where you can find the best price.

The following items at select stores were sold in a different size than most others, so they were re-priced per ounce or per piece to reflect the most common size or packaging: Aldi (Long-grain white rice, oatmeal, shredded cheddar cheese); Giant (Gala apples, tomatoes on the vine); Trader Joe's (Baby carrots, shredded cheddar cheese and tomatoes on the vine). Additionally, Trader Joe's bananas and Gala apples are not included because they are sold individually, not by weight. The State College Target off of North Atherton Street does not sell produce or fresh meat. Data collected in late February 2025.
