Influenza overtook enterovirus/rhinovirus as the most prevalent disease in California at the start of December. RSV has declined since peaking in early November.

*Coronaviruses include common human coronaviruses and do not count Sars-CoV-2. These respiratory illnesses were detected at Clinical Sentinel Labs in the 2022-23 season year-to-date. Laboratory surveillance for respiratory viruses involves the use of data from clinical sentinel laboratories and public health laboratories in the Respiratory Laboratory Network located throughout California.
